David Mendelawitz - Managing DirectorDavid Mendelawitz has extensive international experience in exploration, mining and commerce. His most recent role was as Head of Business Improvement at Fortescue Metals Group Ltd., in which he drove projects in iron ore exploration, project construction, mine and infrastructure optimisation and expansion planning. David has a track-record for success both as a geologist and in the corporate aspects of large minerals projects.
Mr Mendelawitz has extensive experience in the gold mining, working for Savage Resources in the Marda Greenstone belt; Great Central Mines around Lake Way and Jundee; Dome Resources around the Tolukuma Mine in Papua New Guinea; Newcrest around Kalgoorlie; and Perilya around the Fortnum Mine. He has also worked as an Underground Mining Geologist for Homestake at Plutonic and in Underground Exploration for Yilgarn Star at Marvel Loch.

Jim Williams - Non-Executive DirectorMr Williams has more than 50 years of mining engineering and corporate experience. He was a founding member of the Fortescue Metals Group Ltd., where he went on to hold the position of Head of Mining. He has served as Chief Mining Engineer for Bechtel in Australasia, Principal Mining Consultant for Minproc Engineers, and as founder and CEO of J Williams Mining Associates. Mr Williams brings significant experience in gold, copper and iron ore mining to the company, having held roles as the CEO of Laverton Gold, Assistant Manager of Consolidated Goldfields in South Africa, and Project Manager for the feasibility study at the Rawas Gold Project in Indonesia. He has consulted to companies such as Ok Tedi Mining, Dominion Mining, Macraes Mines and Mahd adh Dhab in countries including Australia, Indonesia, Guinea, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. As a Resource Consultant for banks including Standard Charter, Mase, Westpac and Dresdner, Mr Willams has reviewed in excess of 20 DFS, with no project he approved having ever failed. Mr Williams is a graduate of the Camborne School of Mines, a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the AusIMM, in which he served as the Chairman of the Perth Branch.

Aaron Finlay - Finance DirectorAaron Finlay is a chartered accountant and company secretary with 16 years’ experience in accounting and finance. Mr Finlay has previously held positions as CFO and Company Secretary of ASX & NASDAQ-listed pharmaceutical technology company pSivida Limited and at the age of 30 was CFO and Head of Group Tax at INVESCO, an international investment company now operating in 20 countries with 600 investment professionals . Mr Finlay worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and Perth for 7 years.

Russell Scrimshaw - Non-Executive DirectorRussell Scrimshaw has had a stellar corporate career in corporate finance, management and mining. Mr Scrimshaw recently stood down as an Executive Director, and continues as a Non-Executive Director, with Fortescue Metals Group Ltd. where he was part of the key management team who successful completed Fortescue’s history-making iron ore mine, port and rail start up. At Fortescue, he was a lead member of the team that raised A$2.7 billion dollars in what was the largest ever high-yield Asia Pacific transaction, the largest high-yield bond raising ever, one of the largest corporate bonds out of Australia, and one of the largest in the resource sector worldwide. Mr Scrimshaw has negotiated billion dollar off-take agreements with some of the world’s largest steel mills, including all ten of China’s top ten steel mills. Mr Scrimshaw was a board member of Commonwealth Properties Ltd., EDS Australia, Mobilesoft Ltd., Telecom New Zealand Australia Pty Ltd., The Garvan Institute Foundation, and Athletics Australia. He previously held executive positions within the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Optus, Alcatel, IBM and Amdahl USA. Mr Scrimshaw is an Associate Member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants, and an Adjunct Professor of Mining Economics at China Central South University in Changsha, China. |
